My approach to your photo session
I want you to look at your images and feel like you are in the moment again, surrounded by all the crazy chaos, love & laughter that reflects just how you guys roll.
I've always felt slightly awkward being in photos myself. And that's why I have invested so much time and energy into developing a way of photographing families that means we get relaxed, genuine expressions - and believe it or not, we also have a whole lot of fun.
My goal is to help your family feel relaxed, confident, and able to enjoy the experience — not just the end result!
ver 10 years of photographing families, events, and businesses in Whangārei has taught me one thing: these moments fly by. Now that my own kids have left home, I feel even more passionate about helping families capture memories they’ll hold close forever.
My Background AS A whangarei Photographer
My two girls have grown up on the stages of Whangārei, singing and acting. Along the way, I’ve learned the importance of patience, encouragement, and gentle guidance — skills I first honed while coaching kids’ hockey teams for many years.
So whether I’m photographing family, maternity or newborn moments for your family, I bring the same calm, supportive approach to every session.
We have had the pleasure of working with Tracey twice now and couldn’t recommend her enough!
She has captured the most stunning family shots of us on the beach and her expert kiddie and toddler wrangling skills were a testament to the results.

Tracey captured our family so beautifully! She made the process of getting family photos so comfortable, from the zoom calls to plan, through to the photo session.
We really enjoyed our photo session, with Tracey aided by her great assistant, who was able to hold our little one while we got some nice couple photos.
The kids were entirely comfortable, and Tracey made it feel like we were in the company of old friends.

Her pre photo session guidance and instructions throughout the photo shoot produced a great product.
We were wonderfully managed - humans and groomed dog alike -in the beachy outdoors and everyone really enjoyed our experience.
It’s not easy getting all eyes focused on the camera with seagulls and waves to be caught in the fading evening light! But Tracey did it ….. nailed it … and has produced for us a beautiful 10 photo montage frame.
