To celebrate a special milestone birthday, Heather gathered all her family together and we brought to life her vision for a family portrait on the front veranda of her beautiful home. When I went to see her for a consult prior to her session, Heather showed me the spot on her wall she was hoping to fill with a large canvas of all the family. Matapouri Beach is one of my favourite locations for an evening beach photo session. There are so many textures and vistas we can include from dune grasses to rocky outcrops and gentle waves. I had the pleasure of photographing Jalissa's first little girl when she was just a few weeks old. This time though, good old Covid-19 meant I didn't get to meet her second beautiful little girl til she was almost 4 months old. High up on a hill nestled into the north side of the Brynderwyns, Shane and Tititma have created a tropical paradise for themselves and their two children. Conscious that their tweenage kids were growing up fast and with the possibility that they may be moving sometime in the next few years, Titima wanted to capture the magic of their location, their relationship with their wonderful neighbours and the fun the kids had with the horses in the paddocks next door.
